The OEM fuel rails were modified by removing the two rear-most 8mm tubes (where the damper and regulator attach) and filling those ports in with weld. Then the back end of the fuel rail tube was drilled out and the port cleaned up with a die grinder and carbide burr. I purchased -6AN steel "weld-on" male fittings through Summit Racing and welded those as shown. The regulator was placed at the back of the driver's wheel well and the damper was fitted at the very back of the plenum. Braided SS lines were used to connect everything up. Makes for a much cleaner plenum with all the metal hard lines removed, regulator and damper relocated. IT is also much easier to remove the plenum if ever needed and without the damper in the OE location, the #5 coil pack comes right out of the chute without any finagling. You can also go so far as to drill and tap the EGR blockoff plates on the plenum and install a -4AN fitting to fit hoses for your BOVs - cleans things up a touch more... Every little bit counts and attention to detail is your best tool in the box.... :)
